They have finally glassed over the top of the commons area. Mostly. Not that you can tell through the schmutz of the windows. We are all really hoping that they at least cleaned off the Tea Room side of the stained glass and the Commons side of the safety glass before they put the two together and sealed up the windows so you can never get to that part of them again. If not…oops.

Tuesday evening we went out and disrupted Tycho and Vande’s life even further by acquiring a new kitten. Tess, which is what we call her (short for Tesla), isn’t so sure of the new situation herself.

As threatened promised, here is the mighty Baparoma pan. I have no idea why this pan came into the light but Mr. Paul had one and Luuuuuurved it like no other pan has been loved in the history of pans. Or at least that’s how it was told to me. Mumses suggested one year that I get some sort of special deeli-o that they were running in which you got all these cool insert trays (pictured above) plus a BOGO deal. I got an entire pan set for Mr. Paul and one for me.

We got up and did that voting thing this morning and then it was off to start the rest of our day. They really should sell coffee and donuts at the polls, they would totally clean up. The five or so of us in line wholeheartedly agreed; especially since none of us had yet had coffee. Or donuts.

I’m hearing mutterings in the wind about kittens. Nobody has yet asked *my* opinion about this so I decided to take the initiative and lay it out for you: There isn’t much room for kittens in this house.

Here are my illegal sophet ducks. Don’t mess with them man – they will cut you! I got these ducks way back when after we found a whole pack of them tangled up at the bottom of the giant window well. Apparently someone had them some duck racing down the giant slope of glass and the next day we found the bottom littered with duckies. I took three of them because it amused me to think of duck races. Now they break the rules and hang out on top of the sophet.

Here’s camp standing lake side and shooting back into the forested area. The SOWnah is to the left of the picture. By the way, camp has a new roof and a new paint job too…I can’t even imagine how the work crews got out there because camp road makes two tracks look like paved highway. During the spring you have to share the road with a river which empties out into Lake Superior somewheres and if it’s not rock, it’s muck you are traveling on. Apparently, the roofer’s trucks did quite a number on the lawn, such as it is out at camp.

After taking care of some Saturday chores, including getting new tires for the bug (we had a bubble on one of them the size of a Silly Putty egg), we finally set off to the Great White North. Or maybe it should be Grey White North. Hmmm!
