Here we are sallying forth to the first ever Smithees at Smith College. Notice the shiny yellow Smithee Awards bags. Stylin! The building in the background was not our final destination but it was a cool building none-the-less. I really liked Smith College’s campus. Pretty. Plus, the building where all the con stuff was happening was called Seelye Hall. You know, where all the pretty cheeses have classes.
Oh like you haven’t been wondering when I’d pull out one of these entries. Well, today is your lucky day. It’s been that kind of warm and nice that makes all us gardener peoples (or in my case, people with aspirations of being a gardener) look longingly out at our dirt piles and say “What can I plant there?” Not only did I do a little garden boogering around, but I took a camera with me. Pretty.
Hrrrm. If this were TheMan’s blog I’d file this under “technical” but this isn’t so I can’t because I don’t. Have a technical category. I could, however, make a blog blither-blather category I suppose for little update news items and such.
Nah, that sounds like work. Anyway, a couple new things happening around the blog these days.
Greetings all and happy Monday. It does not feel like a Monday to me at all…maybe more a Tuesday with possible branchings into Wednesday later on in the day. Fortunately, I have a 3 day work week so I’m not too bothered that time doesn’t seem to be staying put.
Yes, it’s once again Film Festival season and once again, TheMan, my friend Sean and I waded into the foray of indie film flicks.
I do more cat clobbering before 7am than most people do all day.
Every once in a while, I have a day where everything I put on comes together in a most pleasing way. Today is one of those days.
You have had all winter to snow to your heart’s content, an opportunity you failed to capitalize on for reasons known only to you. Now I see that you are trying to make up for lost snow time in the middle of March and this is not acceptable. If I were writing this in December or January or even February you might have cause for rebuttal since snow is supposed to happen during the winter months and I’d be crazy to complain when it did. However, we are fast approaching spring and you trying to meet your snow quota now is jeopardizing my blooming plants and pissing me off. If I do not see an immediate halt to this inappropriate behavior, there will be repercussions.
Because I am not very coherent today and also because that line (from Catman in Lethal Track) cracks my shit up every single time. It’s all in the delivery so if you aren’t chuckling don’t worry. You’ll get a chance to see the clip in all its glory when Catman hits a Smithees near you. It might not be a temporally near you Smithees, since I can’t remember if Catman made it onto this years docket or if we watched it for next year but soon. I hope. Anyway, Beware That Fucker!
Holy Freakin WA has it been just gorgeous out there or what? I think Isaak’s trying to sniff up the entire neighborhood. I opened the window to let the warm spring air in and immediately two cats parked their hinders in the breeze.
