Is it just me or are colds getting more frequent? I’m not sure I had a cold per se but Friday around 4pm, when I was wandering around the buildings doing my deliveries, I noticed that the lights were REALLY bright. I thought, “Daaaaaang, these new lights are like little ceiling novas. You think they could maybe turn them down a notch or three or we’ll all go blind walking around here.” Then I got back to my office and the lights there were REALLY bright too, which is a problem because they weren’t when I started out on my trip.

That’s never a good way to start a weekend out.

The baby Jesus tells me that November approaches quite quickly and with that National Novel Writing Month and National Blogging SomethingWhatever Month. Seriously, the blogger’s acronym is completely unfathomable. NaNoWriMo? Catchy. NaBloSomWhatMo? Huh? What? WriBloMoHo. MoMoMoMo? I can’t even figure it out. Heck, the Baby Jesus would be hard pressed to figure that out and he’s godnipotent.

It’s been dipping down into the chilly temps the past week or so and someone mentioned “killing frost towards the end of the week”. My hot pepper plants are still flowering and have maturing peppers hanging from them so I’ve been letting them percolate to ripe but killing frost sounds like something that will stop a pepper in its tracks. Thus, I made a plan to go out Thursday or Friday and pick everything that wasn’t a budding flower from my garden.
