Friday, October 22nd, 2010

One of the Warcraft peeps was talking about these awesomest cookies ever in the history of ever so I told him it doesn’t exist unless I have the recipe. So he sent it to me back in late July.

Zucchini Boat

Thursday, September 30th, 2010

My coworker’s neighbor grew this giant zucchinizilla in their garden and then gave it to my coworker who gave it to me. Then I got 2 more giant (but not as huge) zucchinis and I thought, “That’s a lot of shreds. A lot.” So we devised an alternate plan for the zucchini that ate Milwaukee.

Thursday, September 23rd, 2010

You can’t see the salad dressing very well in the bowl of greens but it’s there and it was tasty. Also water cress is spicy!

Igor Bars

Tuesday, July 13th, 2010

Today’s recipe specialty comes from Dork Tower and is probably best made as a half batch and then eaten in 1 inch pieces. Unless you are a champion food eater, in which case you could probably risk a 2 inch piece.

Sunday, July 4th, 2010

TheMan got a hold of the Nero Wolfe Cookbook on Amazon (used, it’s been out of print for a while) because he’s been reading the Rex Stout Nero Wolfe series and they are always going on about food. Then we discovered there was a cook book. WHEEE!!!

Hot and Sour Soup

Tuesday, April 6th, 2010

A while back we made a hot honey orange turkey and I saved the bones for stock. Sadly, hot honey orange turkey bones do not lend themselves to a lot of different soup options so we decided when we made the carcass into stock we’d more than likely have a whole lot of hot and sour soup starter. This weekend I souped me some spicy orange turkey bones and then made the stock into Hot and Sour Soup.

French Onion Soup

Friday, March 5th, 2010

I got it into my head to make some French Onion Soup the other day because I never have and I had quite a lot of onions. Also, Mr. Paul makes the BEST French Onion Soup and I was craving some of that delicious oniony goodness. Sadly, I do not have the proper French Onion Soup bowls to put my French Onion Soup in so it looks like a shopping trip is in order.

Chow Mein Noodle Cookies

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

I am calling these “Haystacks” because we watched The Human Tornado and had “H” food to accompany the viewing, but they might also be Ting-a-lings or Firecracker cookies or some bastardation of all three of them.

Bread Pudding

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

For our Smithee movie watching night, I made up some bread pudding from this site. I did a little jiggery pokery and it turned out tasty but ill set in places but it is still a recipe worth hanging onto to dink around with. To. At. For…and any other prepositions you think I should use to end that sentence.

Thai Peanut Chowder

Finally, the Thai Peanut Chowder recipe! I’ve only had this knocking around for what…three weeks? Something like that. The original can be found here while under the cut is our rendition.
