Because we did not have any pies. We did have some namby pamby pies to round out “Six More Weeks of Pie” last Friday but no pie today (actually they were pretty good pies; lemon and apple from The Chick Inn. Always wanted to try their pies since they have a PIE neon in the window so we used SMWoP as an excuse. Apple is pretty darned good). We fail at pie when it counts but we succeeded at pie for when it counts differently. I think maybe we had too much pie.

Wheee! One of my five bazillion tomato plants has come to fruitition! I picked the two ripest ones just after taking this pic and…I think I need to leave them on the vine a titch longer. I am the world’s most impatient gardener.

Strawberries! From my garden! Which isn’t yet weeded thoroughly so getting to the strawberries was a bit of a challenge. Still, they are growing and prospering and darned fine strawberryific. I had them cut up in my yogurt parfait snack.
