A Sense of the Friday Five

Friday, February 27th, 2004

BAH! No Friday Five today. Lazy butts. Well then, *I’m* going to make my own Friday Five AND I’m going to ask leading questions too. Watch me.

Thursday, February 26th, 2004

It has been confirmed, I am a Grade A, bona fide, A-number-1 freak (FREAK!). We got in Stargate SG-1; Season 3 which brings us current and up to date on all the Stargatage they have released, plus I have Season 6 on preorder. I own all the Stargate one can possibly own at this point in time and I can safely say I have the ENTIRE Stargate SG-1 collection (as it currently exists).

Didja miss me? Not even a little? Fine, I won’t post then. HA! OK, who are we kidding, I’m writing so I’m probably posting. For the record, we did try some Japanese Snack Food (white mousse pocky) but it had been sitting in the pantry. You know, the same pantry that housed our plethora of wine back when? The same wine that BURPED ALL OVER our kitchen and creation? Yeah, not so pretty. I decided to open the pocky anyway and give it a munching seeing as the pocky itself was foil wrapped for my wine blorting convenience. The packaging though was…well…not so photogenic. Next time we hit Hillers we’ll pick up a pretty package and have some pocky review for y’all.

The Friday Five (2-20-04)!

Friday, February 20th, 2004

One thing I took away from my bizarre and mostly useless college education was that when interviewing someone you should try to avoid yes or no (or the like) type questions. Nothing is so boring as listening to an interview where the host asks a long or intricate question and then leaves the guest a gaping option to fill in an answer of “Yes” or “12” or “blue”. Whatever. We were taught to lead your guests and ask them open ended sentences because no one really wants to listen to the host and that’s mostly what you get with bad questions.

Sadly, today’s Friday Five falls into the semi frequent category of badly phrased questions. My apologies, I tried to do with it what I could, but even I, Queen Of Ramble, could not make them very interesting (or informative). I’ll make it up to y’all later.

Breakfast and Bed; a Foot and a Head

Wow, I feel GREAT today! I’m practically doing cartwheels I’m feeling so full of zest, except I’m actually just sitting in my chair. I would, though, if I could because I can you know. Do cartwheels that is, sitting in a chair is not so amazing a feat (but I can do that as well, most of the time much better than I can cartwheel). Cartwheels are one of the few things I mastered in gymnastics and can still do without exposing my aging body to undue stress and peril.

The Furnace of my Discontent

Wednesday, February 18th, 2004

It all started Monday when Dirge and Shar called to say that the furnace was exploding. OK, not literally going up in a ball of fire but whenever it kicked on there would be a huge bang and a flame would come shooting out of the unit. That aint right, BUT it did the exact same thing when I first got the condo (and all it needed was some adjusting and a cleaning) so I called the furnace peoples.

To Laziness, With Much Love

So what besides tasting absolutely foul centered candies did I do this weekend? Glad you asked (oh you so wanted to know! And you will be jealous too!). Incidentally, before I launch into the weekend gig, I just wanted all you JSFR junkies to know that the web assistant wasn’t the only person to enjoy the Nama Ume Ame, apparently the new Circ guy did as well. He isn’t vegan either so I’m not sure what’s going on. I just may give him the rest of the candy though.

The Friday Five (2/13/04)!

Friday, February 13th, 2004

Oooo! Lookie look! It’s Friday the 13th! So far today it’s been pretty good so no evil thoughts directed at the day. I slept in yet got ready early enough to have breakfast out with TheMan (who is on forced vacation today because he has accrued more than the max he can carry and must take 3 days of vacation before the end of February or lose them. Oh to be in that situation!). He had a boss breakfast, mine was rather meh but I don’t think that’s a bad omen, rather a poor choice of breakfast sandwich on my part. The coffee was meh too but better than other coffee I’ve had. Oh, the weirdest thing so far has to be the error message I received when Eudora refused to send my e-mail: Eudora got tired of waiting for the server. What’s that about? Tired of waiting for the server? My mail program is giving me ‘tude! Anyway, take a Friday the 13th Five read of today’s questions if you are inclined. They are pretty decent I think.

My First 419 Letter!

Thursday, February 12th, 2004

Hee. I was looking through my junk mail, and I found that people have friends that want to meet me or the people themselves want to meet me (I have to check to see if Lucy of the second message is the friend Lydia mentioned in the first message), or that I should scratch and win, (and so far in my life I’ve done a lot of scratching but not so much winning on account of it. Unless having the itch go away is winning) or even play poker with real people live. I was actually looking for more of a simulate people dead poker pool myself but it’s good to know that there is someone out there who cares about my real live poker playing needs. Then, I discovered the gem of all letters, an infamous 419. Take a look.

Ice Cream, Kitties, Body Checking and Where’s My Toner?

Wednesday, February 11th, 2004

I’m trying to decide what to write about today. Yesterday was kind of fun in a spazoid collection of almost thoughts way but I’m not sure I should subject my readers to that sort of “flow of boo thought” more than once in a while. I have no problem with it, but then again that’s my normal mode of thinking. No really, I can’t multitask at all, but I can jump from idea to idea so fast it looks like I’m multitasking. I’m exceptionally good at that (although it has lead me to ask TheMan questions with no frame of reference what so ever, like “I think ice cream would be better, don’t you?”).

Random Thoughts and Impressions

Quote of the day (to be said in an Outrageous French Accent): But of course it is; it is my BUTT! It works for a great many values of n too. Go ahead and try it out, use it, make it yours.
