Have I mentioned how much I hate the One, Two, Three format?

Giving Up the Ghost

Thursday, March 11th, 2004

It has finally come to pass: I went out and purchased a new pair of Birks at lunch today. Yesterday my old ones (and until today at lunch my only ones) finally wore through enough that I was blistering my feet walking on them. In my book, when that sort of thing starts happening it’s time to go.

The Phoenix

From the grave, folks, from the grave. We managed to resurrect the computer…OK TheMan managed to resurrect the computer from dying blue screen of death flames last night. It only took an entire Hard Drive wipe and seven hours but it appears to be working again. Huzza!

Cinco de March-o

Friday, March 5th, 2004

I don’t want to work, I want to play on my drum all day! Except I don’t have a drum and I don’t really play drums anyway but the sentiment is so there. I woke up this morning and it was dark and rainy and TheMan was spooned up next to me snoozy as can be and the “I” had nested himself up against my stomach. Ahhh, I was a nice cozy comfy me sammich and that just is not conducive to getting up, getting ready and going to work. Then, the rain stopped and the weather got incredibly wonderful and I was so not wanting to come back from lunch. That too is not conducive to work. Stupid work.

The Friday Five (3/5)!

Comic books and rubber bands
Climb into the tree top
Falling down and holding hands
Tricycles and Redpop
Pony rides and Sunday nights
Roller skates and snowball fights
Climbin’ through the window
Remember when you were a kid?
Well, part of you still is
And that’s why we make Faygo

Momentary Zen

Thursday, March 4th, 2004

It was pretty mellow with a touch of satisfying yesterday and this morning. Work was…well actually work chugged along at a decent pace for once, plus I finished up three lingering projects AND I had very little interaction with my boss or coworkers. Not so bad even with the mind numbing tediousness of the projects. I suppose you have to take the good with the dull.

Random Picture Blogging

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2004

Whooo! TheMan processed my pictures that I took Saturday so I thought I’d flop them up here for funs. It’s kind of “A Day in the Life” of type thing, except I only took 5 pics and missed a lot of the Day in the Life towards the evening. So, if you will, I present to you “Some Saturday Pics of Random Stuff That Amused Me” with accompanying blurbits. Will this be a load unfriendly entry? Dunno, I have broadband!

In Like a Lion!

First off, check out this past Saturday…I post dated a Snack Food Review. Well, we had it all ready to go but for the pictures (and the actual typing but in essence everything was there) on Saturday so well, hey My Blog, I’ll post date when I see fit. Nyahhh! ANYWAY, A while back I wrote about The Day When You Know Winter is Here and yesterday as I stepped outside to wander off to Kid’s Class I was hit smack in the senses with The Day When You Know Spring is Here.

Oscar Thief, Smithee Stuff, Short Sheets and Leap Day SugarFest ‘04

I can NOT believe that Skeletal Pirate Army did not take the visual effects category hands down at the Oscars. We were robbed (I am allying myself with the Pirates). ROBBED! I mean, Oliphonts vs. Skeletal Pirate Army? Are you nuts? SKELETAL PIRATE ARMY!!!!! Ahhhhh! These academy peoples clearly don’t know good when they see it. Alessar pointed out to me that Return of the King might have taken off with Pirate’s Oscar because nobody thought the Balrog was “special enough” last year or the year before. Mmmmmmmaybe I’ll let that pass (hee!) because the Balrog rocked all kinds of Special Visual Effects coolness but the Acadamy has got to stop with the mercy Oscars for past oversights…they are leaving my Skeletal Pirate Army bereft of the Oscar they deserve.
