Empty Nest

Saturday, April 30th, 2005

Dirge and Shar have flown the coop for a more temperate clime and now I have a big empty (sorta) condo. There is some work to be done before we put it up on the market and since there isn’t much else to say, I thought I’d do a picto-list. That’s something new I just made up, BTW. I’m going to list out the needs to be fixed and take a pic of the before and then the after. I guess this is mostly for me and whoever likes to look at empty condo pics.

So Long and Fare Well

Friday, April 29th, 2005

I think I have misplaced one of my JSFs. Hrmmm. The sad thing is I do believe I took it home with me to write up the review and…errr…well it hasn’t yet been reviewed. Meanwhile, the one I did NOT take home with me sat on my desk long enough for me to have written several reviews but as it was an already reviewed JSF, I did not. Finally I got disgruntled with its sorry already reviewed ass and I ate it. If only I hadn’t taken the unreviewed one home I would already have something for this weekend. Le sigh.

Yeah yeah, yeah. Smithee entry is coming, hold on to your hats, MmmmKAy?

WTF? BBQ! Definitely BBQ.

Monday, April 25th, 2005

OK. Sunday it’s bootz weather cold with the bundling and the heavy jackets and the SNOW and today we have temperatures in the 70s with the sun and the flowers and the happy little birds taking water baths in some puddles. I’m not stupid here, weather. Don’t think that by acting like there wasn’t just FOUR INCHES OF FROZEN WATER STUCK TO THE GROUND not 24 hours ago. Oh no, homie don’t play that game. What is up with that? No really, what up weather? Gettin all cranky and then turning around all nice again like “Wasn’t me”. That’s so high school. Hrrmph.

The Smithee Review: A2 ‘05

Sunday, April 24th, 2005

The thing that was the 14th Annual Smithee Awards. Sadly, all the pics I took seem to not be there or be there but terribly crappily so. Alas, this year you will have to settle for 1000 words.

Text Based Blogging

Tuesday, April 19th, 2005

Greetings and welcome back to text based booniverse blogging. That was a lot of pictures this weekend (and there were many more, but I spared y’all). Badmovie and LunarGeography haven’t fessed up to leaving bondagephant behind but they did say that they would be the scapegoats until the “real” culprit could be found. Yeah, I think they are GUILTY! I’m also apparently trying to crack MS Word as it does not recognize booniverse, blogging, LunarGeography, Badmovie, fessed, or bondagephant and has underlined them all in “I’m worried about your spelling” red. It does, however, recognize “y’all”. I will never figure that program out.

The Smithee Countdown T-minus 11 Days

Tuesday, April 12th, 2005

In case you haven’t read anywhere I’ve posted in the last few weeks, the Smithee Awards will be visiting town in two Saturdays (April 23rd) at 7:00pm at the Chem Building (1800 – the gigantic auditorium with the weird ass funky steps. HATE!). Come, have fun, enjoi, feel your brain melt from the badness.

Righteous Peeps, Part Ducks

Sunday, April 10th, 2005

Yeah, yeah. I see your post dated blues and raise you some outrageously suck ass service from a certain Casa von Pizza. Seriously, would you expect to be finishing dinner at midnight when you started at 9:30? At a pizza joint? And do you know what a male whale’s member is called? I do now.
