There, Beyond the Bounds of You Weak Imagination

Monday, October 31st, 2005

I might have either added a comma after You or used Your but I didn’t write the lyric. I also am not making beaucoup moolah from lots of royalties off the song so maybe my perspective on sentence structure isn’t all that. Anyway, Happy Halloween!

When Some Trendy New Atrocity Has Brought You to Your Knees

Friday, October 28th, 2005

Wherein I take you from Harriet Meirs to cave men and women. Only in the booniverse does that logical leap exist! And also, Boo points for yous who know the title song for today. Heck, *I* don’t even really know this song but a housemate of mine got the album and I was tickled pink by the title. And? It’s topical!

In the Dark Where All the Fevers Grow

Thursday, October 27th, 2005

Title brought to you by TheMan. Even he is getting in on the geeky! Of course I pestered him about it, channeling my inner 4 year old (So? So? You like my lyrical interlude titles? Huh? Huh?) until he came up with today’s topical entry moniker. The other choice was “The night is dark but the sidewalk’s bright” which makes it 0 for 2 for The Boss, if anybody’s keeping score.

If I Listen to Your Lies Would You Say

Wednesday, October 26th, 2005

Incase you are curious, today’s lyrical theme might very well have been “Even if we’re just dancing in the dark” but the above seemed just a wee bit more appropriate. Plus, I am sort of partial to lines that aren’t the title of the song (which would be just about any line from a Led Zeppelin tune. HA!) so Karma it is. I’m also not so sure there isn’t some sort karma thing going on around here. Good or bad, it’s hard to tell at the moment.

A Distant Ship, Smoke on the Horizon

Monday, October 24th, 2005

The dorkiness continues here at the booniverse because the lyric thing still amuses me. I actually wanted to clip something from “Smoke Gets in Your Eyes” but man, there isn’t a non sappage line in that whole tune. Do you realize how hard it is to come up with a good smoke lyric? I suppose I could have done Smoke on the Water but Boooo-ooring (and I ran out of patience. Bored now!).

Sleep, Sleep Tonight, and May Your Dreams be Realized

Friday, October 21st, 2005

I’m having probably more fun than I ought to be thinking up song lyrics for blog titles. I a dork! I’m also sort of running out of exciting stuff to tell y’all what with this blogging every day thing because really, my life isn’t a James Bond adventure by any stretch. I don’t think I even lead a Miss Moneypenny life because she gets to at least have peripheral contact with Mr. Bond. Ahh well, how can I hone my Cheetoness and expect to lead a continually interesting life?

And the Moon and the Stars are the Same Ones You See

Thursday, October 20th, 2005

Mor-Ti-Fied! Do you know where today’s sampling of lyrical interludation comes from? It’s been nebulously stuck in my head since last night when I thought I had finally figured out the damn moon and its waxing and waning thing. Of course, I only have part of the lyrics so I thought I’d google them (Google and me, BFF!) to see what the rest of the song was. It’s not an easy snatch of tune to google, especially when all you have in your head is “The Moon and the stars are the same up above” and another snippit which hums “It’s the same old sun up in the sky” and that’s it. IT! Half of my it isn’t even right. Do you know how many moon, sun, star, sky, lyrics there are? Every goddamned body is writing about the moon and the stars and the sky and the sun. It’s like they are all some sort of important symbolic something or other. Jeebus!

Pleased To Meet You, Hope You Guess My Name.

Wednesday, October 19th, 2005

Hello everyone, these are Do and Don’t, two new travelbugs we made this past weekend. If the weather holds, we’ll drop them off in a geocache this weekend and they’ll be off on their duckie way. It’s a bug race; both of them will start in the same cache and hopefully two different people will pick them up, or one person will drop them off in different caches and then we shall see which one gets further.

With the World Turning Circles Running ‘Round My Brain

Tuesday, October 18th, 2005

I declare this week to be song lyrics blog title week. Or maybe just yesterday and today, depending on how I feel tomorrow or whenever it is that I update next.

Friday Night I Crashed Your Party

Monday, October 17th, 2005

Not really, we even had a get together Friday and the fact that I remember this is surely a sign of the Apocalypse. Me! Remembering anything about Friday! Whoda thunk? Of course it took a good deal of brain wracking and lighting a fire under the ol’ plork before I remembered exactly what it was that we did so I do believe the Apocalyptic signs might be a tad premature.

Demon Kitty

Thursday, October 13th, 2005

The demon cat in question (today) is Isaak who is possessed by the most fiendish of cat possessing demons. We’re not talking the standard kitty witching hour where they get up and tour every room of the house in about three seconds. No, we’re talking demons that make a cat careen from room to room like his ass was on fire. Once the cat was in the room, the demons seemed to lay off the ass-a-fire until they wanted to go somewhere else. Then? ZzzzzzING!
