O Turkey, My Turkey

Tuesday, January 31st, 2006

You know this is going to be a Deep and Meaningful entry because it precedes itself with the all important sounding “O”. But what could be so earth shattering and important that it needs to be announced with the harbinger O of stupendous situations? How about a weekend recap…a BIRTHDAY weekend recap?

That and I cooked a turkey.

It’s like five by five but better!

Thursday, January 26th, 2006

If y’all remember from way way back (last year at the booniverse some time), 2005 was supposed to be the year of baby q. I haven’t said much about the quest for q because I don’t think y’all really want to know our private business that much (and besides, TheMan would pop a blush vessel if I reported every little detail of our parental crusade – well besides the plain and simple fact that he has one hella fine ass which I’ll say each and every time I get a chance). But if you did want to know our private business that much, then I didn’t expound on it because you really don’t need to know our private business that much. Well, except for the butt thing, that I’ll give as a freebie.

Now You See It, Now You Don’t

Tuesday, January 24th, 2006

If I hadn’t seen it snowing earlier today I’da thought you were nuts if you told me it had. Somewhere around 11ish the perfectly congenial sky opened up and blatted snow down for maybe an hour. Then it hung around for maybe another 45 minutes and now it’s all gone. Frekky!

What Am I Going To Call This? Oh. OK Then!

At least song lyrics were more interesting and even provided perhaps the majority of the intellectual (which I spelled right the first try, thankyouverymuch) stimulation on some occasions. Meh, what do you expect from a Monday? Oh right. A weekend recap. Well, I shall not disappoint.

Friday, January 20th, 2006

There would be a picture of all the pretty, pretty frosted sugar cookies TheMan and I baked and decorated yesterday butsomeone totally forgot about the existence of devices that can record images for posterity. That same someone had two…TWO chances to remember about them new fangled image recorders and do you want to know when this someone thought a pic might be nice? Try when the boxed up cookies were on their way in with TheMan. D’OAH! Just another example of how I’ll never be Ansel Adams. “So yesterday I was hiking along and there was the moon sitting over half dome. It was pretty cool…D’oah! I shoulda pulled the camera out of my knapsack and taken a picture!”

Choose Your Own Japanese Vampire Adventure Movies and Other Stories

Tuesday, January 17th, 2006

I started out today really rather miffed because I got stuck doing someone else’s job when they “refused” to do it. No problem! Bring it! Boo loves to do the onerous work! Whoooo! For three and a half hours I got to do another department’s menial work and I grumbled a mighty grumble! Then THEN I about popped a gasket when the original “too good to do my work” party didn’t offer to bust butt down 12 stories to pick up the damned project. No Problem! Boo not only loves to do YOUR JOB but boo loves to hand deliver YOUR JOB to your lazy ass PROMPTLY!

Damn straight! I love me some new recipes or maybe a bite of something I’ve never had before. How else are you going to know that uni sushi looks and tastes like snot and that candy coated mini Hershey Kisses are the BOMB of candy coated chocolate? You can’t unless you EAT them and you aint gonna be EATING them unless you think to yourself, “Hey self, I wonder what sea urchin tastes like.” and then go for it. Well, not the sea urchin but definitely the candy coated Hershey Kisses.

Food For Thought

Friday, January 13th, 2006

Today’s breaking headline news is that I am very puffed up with self smugness. Why? Because *I* exercised last night. The fates conspired against this plan, throwing tiredness, ennui and a general sense of ‘I donwanna, I’ll do it later’ at me but in the end the Move My Ass Already initiative was just too strong. Ha! My exercise-fu can not be beat! That and I read on the back of the cornbread can that it would take 20-25 minutes to cook the cornbread anyway and I was in no mood to sit around waiting for the cornbread to cook. Somehow, exercising trumped sitting around waiting for things to bake so I up and hopped on the Norditrack for a spin.
