I used to love October for the end of daylight savings time. Fall back rocks. It meant I got an extra hour and I used to savor that hour for days, thinking “Hey! My body thinks it’s 6 but the clock says 5, I can sleep in!” This year, though, I think someone stole my hour because I totally didn’t notice it at all Sunday and it still hasn’t registered today. Time thieves, gimmie back my hour!

Mike the Pumpkin starts his evening by sitting out on the porch all lit up. Mike is getting kinda squoooshy, being that I carved him Thursday and he’s been sitting on the kitchen counter since then. Poor Mike. He looks kind of happy here though.

WHAT??! A Friday Five? Say it ain’t so!
OK, actually it ain’t but it’s five questions I totally bogarted from Nance’s site and I’m posting them on Friday. I was just looking at that poor category the other day thinking “Wow. Haven’t done one of those in a looooong time. Maybe I should make up my own.” Buuuut lately I have been totally reveling in the Cheetoness of slothatude so I didn’t (surprise, I know) and then I saw these. Wala!

Three buildings, eighteen floors, hundreds of rooms and twelve printers scattered throughout them all. You would think that once you put an oven sized printer someplace that it’d stay there but no. Every year I wind up having to go around and check on all our printers and every year one or two of them has gone AWOL.

Once upon a time I owned a Teac 5 disc CD changer which was awesomely rad for about two seconds and then it crapped the bed. Apparently, the screwy-mover arm jobber that the laser moved around on was made out of cheap plastic and over time it bent out of alignment. The more it bent, the more the music skipped or stuttered but we found out that one good stomp on the floor usually set it right. Then, when we were stomping like it was some sort of hoe down, I took the unit in to get fixed. Guess what the new part was made out of?

Lately I have had a lot of cranks that I need to air out but a whole day of I HATE X would be pretty ornery to read no? So I think I’ll throw in some other stuff that has amused me too. Hey! If I could remember how to code color text I’d mark the hate in red and the love in…wait. Love is usually red isn’t it? Well that’s not going to work. Hmmm. Well since I can’t off the top of my head remember how to code colored text and I’m way too lazy to look it up and red is the same as red anyway, I won’t.

Hrrrmmmmm. Today is not shaping up to be an auspiciously glorious day. On one hand, I got another chunk of dishes done this morning, but I didn’t get to the wine glasses (which was my initial plan) and I slopped suds water all over my socks. Twice. Wet feets are no fun.

OooooooOOOooooo! Check it out: A Friday the 13th post. And also snow? Who ordered THAT up? It was full blown snow storming here yesterday with big slightly slushy flakes that actually managed to cover the ground. Gah! Fortunately, the ground is way too warm for any prolonged snow stickage so anyplace that wasn’t holding the snow aloft (which would be any place that wasn’t vegetation I guess) didn’t have snow accumulation. Sadly, this did not include bits of the ivy covered window well wall so looking out gave us a view of sloppy snow spluttering from the sky and making the vines snow accented. Brrrrrrr.

Hallo hallo! At least I have something a little different for the weekend review other than “We played Warcraft” but only because we have no PPOE something or other and ergo no internets. Damn you DSL provider!
