I usually put a weekend update around abouts here but if you step back to Friday’s entry you can pretty much guess how the rest of my weekend went. In fact, I’ve been pretty much stalled posting because it’s hard to write a farewell entry for a animal that has been with you for going on 15 years so I’ve been doing quite a lot of everything else but writing this entry. A month is not enough grieving time but here it goes anyway.

Sadly, these are not all the books I have yet to read, just the prominent books I have yet to read. If I took a picture of all the books on my shelf and borrowed from other people I could get another couple digits of pi. I’d also run out of upstairs carpet room so two decimal places is all you get.

Caramel gum? Why not?
I got it into my head to make some French Onion Soup the other day because I never have and I had quite a lot of onions. Also, Mr. Paul makes the BEST French Onion Soup and I was craving some of that delicious oniony goodness. Sadly, I do not have the proper French Onion Soup bowls to put my French Onion Soup in so it looks like a shopping trip is in order.

I took an amble around to check on the construction. They have done a lot of walling off of areas where they need construction access points but what really is weird (to me) is that they’ve finished off a lot of the walls. Here the construction access is dry walled and painted AND hung with neat posters about the construction.
