The Friday Five!

The lazy days of summer.

1. How are you planning to spend the summer [winter]?

Origami! Oh and learning to sew. And all sorts of other pre wedding things ‘cuz I’m going to be the new Mrs. Q!

2. What was your first summer job?

Ummm…I guess if a summer job is defined as a job that you only hold during the summer (vs. a job you get in the summer and then carry through the rest of the year) it would have to be the office assistant intern job at NSF International, where I interned for 3 more summers, got a part time job and then a full time job. I was with the company for 7 years.

3. If you could go anywhere this summer [winter], where would you go?

Oh, well I don’t have the vacation to go anywhere cool this summer (damn employers) but if that wasn’t an obstacle I think I’d go to one of the states I haven’t been to yet. Maine I think, that will complete my east coast set.

4. What was your worst vacation ever?

Wow. I’m not quite sure, actually. Lemmie think a bit. Nope, still can’t really find a definitive sucky vacation. I’ve had bits of vacation that sucked but not one giant worst suck fest of a vacation ever.

5. What was your best vacation ever?

Oh! I really enjoyed going to California to visit a good friend of mine back in ’89 or so. I met him in San Francisco (he was stationed in Freemont or Freeport out that a way…between Sacramento and San Francisco. Can’t remember the name of the base thought) and we drove all the way down to Tijuana in two weeks. The best part was that we had no agenda other than driving to Tijuana and getting back to San Fran to get me home and we had two weeks to do it in. So, we just took off and drove and when we found someplace that looked interesting, we stopped. It was great!
