Pants Would Only Slow Me Down

Hey! It’s the last booniverse entry of 2007. Where did the year go?

I feel like I should do a year in review or something. It would probably look like this though: WoW (the game), some books but not as many as I wanted to read. More WoW (the game), my grandma died, even more WoW (the game) and some work. That’s pretty boring.

I did make some new New Year’s intentions this year though. Apparently last year I decided to spend more quality time with the kitties, be a little more active and read an average of 2 books a month. I did pretty well on the kitty point because now the little fur balls come a-running from all over as soon as I wake up all “pet meeeEEEeeee”. It’s kinda disconcerting when you wake up in the middle of the night to pee but I’ve gotten used to the morning kitty pettins.

The “be a little more active” point didn’t exactly go like I thought it should. Meh. This year I’m going to try to be a little more than just a little more active. My goal is to lose some weight every month. Maybe a pound, maybe two, whatever. If the scale reads lower at the end of the month than it did at the beginning, I’m golden.

The Read Some Damn Books Initiative also finished with a trickle rather than a bang. I read 22 books but only logged 18 because eight of them were rereads. I had been counting books I had read before as half a book. But! This means I have an excellent starting base for this coming year’s Read Some Damn Books Initiative, that being read more books in 2008 than I did in 2007. I might can do that!

My new intention is to really budget the food buying. I want to get good at shopping on a dime (more or less…probably more but not excessively so) and stick to it. There, I’ve posted in the ether my goals for 2008. Whoot.

It’s about 10:20 on the last day of 2007 and I think there is some sorbet calling my name.

Little Kitty rests up for some action packed midnight TV ball drop watching.

Last last year at the booniverse: It sounds like a pretty cool retirement thing, puttering around after your travel bug and then going to all the places.

The year before at the booniverse: After that fun and excitement, and breakfast, the fam (minus TheMan and I) decided to go out shopping for stuff and stuff and they game back with a GPS receiver.

The year before that at the booniverse: Have a happy New Years all of you out there, we are off to feed the bunnies and grab some coke.

In the past at the booniverse: New Years Nothing I’m afraid.
