Chow Mein Noodle Cookies

I am calling these “Haystacks” because we watched The Human Tornado and had “H” food to accompany the viewing, but they might also be Ting-a-lings or Firecracker cookies or some bastardation of all three of them.

They are also the easiest thing in the world to make:

INGREDIENTS
1 package semi sweet chocolate chips
1/2 to 1 package of butterscotch chips
3/4 to 1 packages of Heath bits
Chow mein noodles

DIRECTIONS
1. Melt chocolate chips on low heat.
2. Add butterscotch chips after about half of the chocolate chips are melted.
3. When chips are completely melted, stir in noodles until well coated.
4. Stir in Heath bits.
5. Spoon out dollops of cookies onto wax paper and let set.

PRODUCTION NOTES
I used less butterscotch chips than normal, about 1/2 to 3/4 of the bag. They were nicely hinting of butterscotch rather than the usual half and half taste.

I also added the Heath chips at the very last bit and they didn’t melt to insubstantialness like the previous times when I added the chips earlier.

These may be one of the easiest and tastiest cookies ever.
