Re-read my little blurb from yesterday and realized that I should probably write about what the big project is…<\/p>\n

For a couple years, I’ve been part of the Smithee Awards<\/a>. Basically, a viewer’s choice award ceremony for bad movies. I’m one of the video editors who assembles the show (the other one has a LiveJournal ‘blog with the amazingly appropriate user name of BadMovie<\/a>). In addition to my video editing duties, I’m the “Guru of Graphics.” Usually this involves making posters to direct our audience to the room that we’ve been moved to at the last minute…<\/p>\n

A couple years ago, I did a series of title slides for each of our bad movie voting categories. We’ve been using them for quite a while and they’re beginning to seem a little outdated. Just to give an idea of how old they are, I did the layout using Strata Studio Pro on a Powerbook 180… Technology has advanced considerably since then, so I’ve decided to go with animated titles rather than just still slides…<\/p>\n
