These ones have a kind of ghostly look to them that makes me think that there&#8217;s something important missing from their diet.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nAnyway, there are patches of these in the backyard along with the regular purple violets.  I don&#8217;t know if it&#8217;s some kind of recessive color thing or what, and I&#8217;m not about to go all Gregor Mendel and start raising greenhouses full of the things.<\/p>\n<p>Oh, and as a sort of backyard update, I don&#8217;t know if the mushrooms were morels or not, and it doesn&#8217;t matter at this point since some critter or another has come by and all of them have been either nibbled on or knocked down.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Somehow I expect violets to be a litte bit more&#8230; I dunno&#8230; Violet.
