It&#8217;s got that sickly-sweet smell of fresh synthetics.  And for some reason it reminds me of the Commodore VIC-20 that I used to have&#8230;<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nIt was my first computer, and I bought it with the proceeds from my paper route&#8230;  I also got it about a year before the price dropped from around $300 to around $100, so in addition to giving me a way learn Basic and Assembly it served as a lesson in the economics of technology.<\/p>\n<p>I think the place I bought it from had just been remodeled&#8230; Either that or we&#8217;d just re-carpeted the house at around the same time I got it.
