That’s right, I’m up and about. Bright of eye and bushy of tail. Why should a little thing like the time bother me? Sure, it’s after midnight and the rest of the household is snoozing away, but that’s no reason for me to turn in! I’m wired! I’m awake! I’m CAPTAIN INSOMNIA<\/b>!

\nIt’s kind of comforting, sitting here in the living room, listening to the snoozing sounds from my fiancee and the two felines. Right now, I’m out here for their benefit as well as my own. I don’t want to be lying in bed, tapping my foot against the bed frame, keeping them awake… Although I am tempted to sneak in at 1 am and wake my fiancee by saying “It’s Question Time!”<\/p>\n
1 am Question Time is something that dates back to when my Fiancee and I were fist dating. We’d share childhood memories and personal details… Sometimes I’d drift into a half awake \/ half asleep state where my voice would continue to function normally, but my brain would toss incomprehensible words and phrases into what had been an otherwise normal conversation.<\/p>\n
I haven’t done it recently… Not that I can remember at any rate. On the other hand we’ve had a new variation on the heavy eyelid phenomenon. That’s where a wide awake person is attempting to have a conversation with someone who is not quite so wide awake. The conversationalist gets to watch the less awake person’s eyelids droop over their eyes. Each blink becomes more of an effort, and eventually they fall asleep. Usually I’m the one whose eyes close like that, but recently it’s been my Fiancee.<\/p>\n
