Ages ago, one of my friends got the “Beauty and the Beast” soundtrack. One of the songs on there was about the villain, with his comic sidekick providing occasional commentary. I don’t remember the name of the song, the actors, or any of the melody. The only reason that I remember this at all was the one time I heard him play it, there was a cat hair clinging to the CD causing it to skip… The result was a five minute span where we were paralyzed with laughter while the comic sidekick repeated the phrase “More beer?” over and over…<\/p>\n
That phrase is no longer funny.

\nIn addition to finishing up the administrivia associated with a wedding and a name change, we went shopping for sealable containers. We found a couple tupperware-style 8 quart food storage buckets at GFS. They’re now full. We cleaned out four more 2 liter bottles. They’re now full.<\/p>\n
I think we may have acquired a bottomless keg from some sorcerer’s cave.<\/p>\n
And the stuff is too good to just get rid of… We’re calling in friends and having them bring over anything sealable that can hold liquid, but I’m starting to think that we may need to start watering the shrubbery with it. Supposedly, it will help prevent pests… My parents were given similar advice about a keg long ago, but watered houseplants instead and the results were rather fungal. If it was summer I could see leaving cups of beer outside to drown slugs. As it is, it’s more likely to result in drunk skunks and stray dogs roaming the neighborhood, bumming cigarettes and spare change, and picking fights with each other.<\/p>\n
It’ll all be out of our hands tomorrow… The keg and tapper will be back at the brewpub, empty or not.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
