Just got back from running Rob & Joanna to the airport to catch their flight out to Egypt. They were supposed to fly out last night, but their flight was delayed for a day due to mechanical problems… For them that just meant a complimentary car ride home and another day to pack last minute stuff, but there were a lot of unamused people for whom Detroit was just a connection. They wound up getting shuffled into hotel rooms for the night. And a happy Valentines day to all of them…

\nAs far as Valentines goes, our big plan is the now-traditional dinner at Paesanos, followed up by some romantic candlelight, some wine and a little bit of EverQuest. We were going to play EQ a bit during the day, but the run out to the airport put the kibosh on that. It’s probably just as well… We’re still a bit snoozy from the Diablothon with my sis last night.<\/p>\n
We played from roughly 9 last night until around 1:30 this morning. Sis has a first generation iMac that she’s been lugging around, but she’s planning on getting something more portable with her tax refund. My wife and I have already put an order in for her birthday present, a slipcase from Willow Design<\/a>, possibly the finest laptop case manufacturer that I’ve ever ordered from. Unfortunately, they’re going out of business, which is why the order went in so early…<\/p>\n Anyway, my wife is taking a bit of a nap right now to recover from the Diablothon, and I’m taking it easy for a bit. I find I can’t take a nap in the middle of the day, mostly because it takes me so long to wake up afterwards.
