I&#8217;ll probably be posting here more frequently than before.  After all, it&#8217;d be tough to post LESS often&#8230; Plus I&#8217;ll be away from the distractions and difficulties of work.  I was just thinking about it, and this will be the longest non-holiday related vacation that I&#8217;ve been on in fourteen years.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m a bit hazy on the numbers for that claim.  It&#8217;s not exactly fuzzy math, more along the lines of poor memory.  I can&#8217;t recall if I had a summer job my freshman year of college, or if that started sophomore year.  I know I took summer classes every subsequent year, so those don&#8217;t count.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nI&#8217;m looking forward to the break.  We&#8217;ve got two big trips planned: first down to Columbus for the Smithee Awards at Origins, then off to the big Alaskan Honeymoon Cruise.  Very fun stuff.  There will be pictures from both excursions.<\/p>\n<p>A lot of people asked why we didn&#8217;t go on our honeymoon right after we got married, but there&#8217;s a certain amount of incompatibility between the concepts of November and Alaska&#8230;  I like cold weather.  I&#8217;ve got no problem with really, really bitter cold, provided that there&#8217;s someplace warm for me to go to or to be in afterwards.
