The unemployment rate is up nearly a percentage point, but Labor Department records show a gain of 200 jobs since January 2001.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\nSo, in the past three and a half years, Wisconsin has gained 200 jobs.  According to <a href=\"http:\/\/dwd.wisconsin.gov\/oea\/articles\/populationgrowth_0304.htm\">Wisconsin.gov<\/a>, between 2000 and 2003 the state&#8217;s population went up by roughly 127,000.<\/p>\n<p>So that means that there are around 126,800 more unemployed people in Wisconsin than there were before Bush&#8217;s tenure began.<\/p>\n<p>In a slightly saner universe, I think that paragraph might belong higher up in the article&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Just an &#8220;ouch!&#8221; moment from the last paragraph of this CNN article: Wisconsin is one of the few battleground states that has gained jobs since Bush took office.
