We actually rolled in to town at around ten AM.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nThat means we left home around two.<\/p>\n<p>Or as my Wife calls it sometimes, &#8220;Oh-Dark-Hundred.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>There are some really good things about highway driving in the wee hours.  For one thing, there&#8217;s practically no traffic apart from you and the heavy trucks.  For another thing, there&#8217;s none of that distracting &#8220;scenery&#8221; type stuff.  Oh it&#8217;s out there, lurking, but you can&#8217;t see it, so it&#8217;s easy to ignore.<\/p>\n<p>Until dawn.  We were somewhere around Grayling when that happened.  Really impressive red clouds and golden horizon, filtered through early morning post-rain atmosphere.  Very pretty.  I&#8217;ll see if I can post any of the photos my Wife took, but when I was going down to the basement to set up the network, she was up in the kitchen cursing out the camera&#8217;s focal problems&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ok, we&#8217;re up North, the wireless network is set up, and I&#8217;ve recovered from the drive.
