{"id":2037,"date":"2005-10-14T11:32:24","date_gmt":"2005-10-14T16:32:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.quirkspace.com\/quirkblog\/?p=782"},"modified":"2005-10-14T11:32:24","modified_gmt":"2005-10-14T16:32:24","slug":"creatures-of-habit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.quirkspace.com\/quirkblog\/?p=2037","title":{"rendered":"Creatures of habit."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So I&#8217;ve probably just ruined the day of a couple dozen angsty teens.<\/p>\n<p>Let me explain.<\/p>\n<p>I was going through the server logs and noticed a whole bunch of bandwidth was being used by one of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.quirkspace.com\/archives\/2004_04_27.html#000490\">my old images<\/a>.  It seems a lot of people were linking to it directly, using it as a background for their own web pages.<\/p>\n<p>So I changed things a bit&#8230;<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nThe old image has been renamed, and the old article on my site has been updated  to link to it.  I&#8217;m sure it&#8217;s just a matter of time until it gets found again, and linked to, and I don&#8217;t have a problem with that, normally.  I don&#8217;t mind people using my images, so long as I get credited.  Thus the whole <a href=\"http:\/\/creativecommons.org\/licenses\/by-nc-sa\/1.0\/\">Creative Commons License<\/a> over on the left-side navigation bar.<\/p>\n<p>But none of the sites I saw had any kind of attribution.
