They don&#8217;t seem bothered by the electric mower, and I&#8217;ve seen them ignore other folks&#8217; gasoline machines&#8230;  Maybe it has something to do with the whirling, spinning blades at the back.  Or maybe it makes a high-pitched squeek that drives them insane.  In any case, they were following me along the fence line, barking furiously at the wheels of the thing while I was trying to do some back-yard maintenance.
