I’ve got a hunch that at least part of this week’s comic has happened in real life.
Running a bit of a test here. I’ve got a new gizmo that may make posting a bit easier / more frequent.
Turkey in the Straw – Billy Golden. 5.5 MB mp3 file.
E. Berliner’s Gramophone 726Z, December 19, 1896
The quality on this is pretty low. The record was almost more scratch than groove, but I was able to get some recognizable music out of the noise. I suppose I shouldn’t complain – I don’t know what kind of noise I’ll be making when I’m 112 years old.
This week’s comic is all about style.
Ukulele Lady – Frank Crumit. 3.9 MB mp3 file
My Sweetie Turned Me Down (What do I care, What do I care) – Frank Crumit. 4 MB mp3 file
Victor 19701 sides A and B, 1925
This week’s comic warms from the inside out.
Up and Down – J. Lager and E. Olson. 4.5 MB mp3 File
At the Shepherd’s Ball – J. Lager and E. Olson. 4.5 MB mp3 File
Sides A & B of Columbia E4214, 1918
I keep watching this. It just keeps getting better and better each time.
This week’s comic is tasty, but anti-social.
Melancholy Lou – Howard Lanin’s Ben Franklin Dance Orchestra. 4 MB mp3 file
Don’t Wake Me Up – Let Me Dream – Howard Lanin’s Ben Franklin Dance Orchestra. 4 MB mp3 file
Sides A & B of Victor 19797, 1925
