Many things, all at once.

I’ve got no organization for this post. Just a bunch of stuff all ready to go. I blame the lack of sleep and the overpowered coffee I brewed up this morning.

mmm…. overpowered coffee…

First off, there’s an odd smell in one spot in the office. It’s like someone was smoking a cheap cigar, but somehow confined all the stench to a particular three foot column of air. Very peculiar.

It’s just a matter of time…

Eventually, someone will prove that the only person in all of England who didn’t write the works of William Shakespeare was William Shakespeare himself.

A great premise…

This is sort of in the same vein as the über-419 spam letter: What if you were to actually buy all those stocks that the spammers hype as “Hot Tips”?

Unless you really like red ink, the answer isn’t pretty.

Exoskeleton

The Ann Arbor branch of the pro-bicycle protest group Critical Mass hit the streets last Friday. I guess it’s a regular thing they do on the last Friday of every month. Anyway, I saw ’em after work. Nifty Toy!

Very keen, after doing all that stuff about audio yesterday, to happen across a review of this turntable. I’ve been thinking for a while about getting an inexpensive record player to transfer some of my old vinyl into something more car-playable.

Collosal “Huh?”

Ok. Automatic translations of foreign languages still have a long way to go before they can handle online comics.

On the other hand, there’s something kind of cool about the phrase “Nintendo Co. is the invincible fist in underwater!”

Possibly marketable idea…

Caffeinated Jell-o!

Someone asked, pre-meeting at work, if they should make another pot of coffee. The reply, “There’s always room for more coffee.” triggered the obvious slogan linkage.

Hoped-for crossover…

Today is the retirement symposium for a doc that we’ve done a lot of work for. It’s also, for those of you who’ve somehow missed it, Talk Like A Pirate Day.

I somehow doubt those two things will combine in an interesting fashion, but I can always hope. Especially since several of the educational lectures are being videotaped.
