Ok, maybe my headline style is a bit too exuberant. I just noticed the last few entry titles all end with exclamation marks…
I worry about little things like that sometimes. It’s part of what slows me down the most when writing. In the middle of writing paragraph two, I’ll go back and self-edit something I wrote back in paragraph one, completely derailing my train of thought.
Heck, I’ll do the same thing on a sentence-by-sentence basis… And I won’t even finish a sentence before I start editing it. For example, the last line of the previous paragraph was a third-draft revision by the time I finished it.
In fact, pretty much everything you see here has been revised at least once while it was being written… And yet it still manages to be utter drivel…
Amazing how that works, isn’t it?
I guess that’s one of the reasons I’m doing this whole ‘blog’ thing. In addition to the ego-gratification and the hordes of screaming fans, it helps me learn how to write better.
