This is a Law Quad chipmunk that was zipping around last week when I was lunching with my Fiancee. Chipmunks don’t seem to understand the Rules of Law Quad food… The won’t come up to you for crumbs. If you toss food to them, they’ll run away, and only reluctantly come back to investigate. They rarely hold still long enough for a good picture. They’re skittish little critters.
On the other hand, last Friday even the squirrels were acting squirrely. We’d toss them a perfectly good hunk of bagel crust and they’d sniff it with disdain and wander off. We were snubbed by squirrels! It was kinda discouraging…
