Webcast Day 3

Day three of the Transweb Webcast and it’s official – the University of Minnesota campus beats five kinds of good for the roses out of Disney’s Wide World of Sports complex. Not to dis the Diz, but having the webcast headquarters in the hotel, along with having half a dozen really good restaurants within a half block radius and not having any restrictions against having food in the HQ office means that we’ve got much happier webcasters than before.

Plus it’s nice out. Mostly. Oh sure, we had half an hour of torrential rains in the middle of the track and field event, but we haven’t had temperatures in the high 90’s with 100% humidity and daily thunderstorms that you can set your watch by.

The only thing that the photogs have had to complain about has been the low light levels at some of the events. We’ve been getting some grainy pictures even with the really good cameras we’ve been loaned.

More stories are up on the site now, and the Transplant Games had a nice color spread above the fold in section B of the local paper, as well as a nice article in their online edition. We’ve also had a lot of good feedback, both in person and via e-mail about the site. It’s really gratifying to hear.

That’s all I’ve got time to write for now… Tennis photos are in, so it’s time for me to get back to work!
