Getting Lost

I started out intending to write about this in the last entry, but I got kind of sidetracked.

One of the things I noticed when working on the wedding invitations and the out-of-town guest survival guide was how difficult it can be to find a good map of Ann Arbor. It gets even worse around the Medical Center. Not only are people trying to find their way around Ann Arbor’s arcane traffic system, they’re dealing with all sorts of stress. There’ve been a couple of times when I’ve walked people to their destinations simply because there’s no good way to give them directions on how to get there.

That’s one of the reasons that our office came up with this interactive map. It’s in a sort of late-beta stage, so if you’ve got suggestions for improvements, feel free to leave them in the comments here and we may be able to integrate them into the final version.

Where are we?

Well, it’s a new month. Time to the wedding can be measured in days now (39!) and we should probably get a big checklist together to see what’s complete and what still needs to be done.

So far, I think we’re doing pretty good. My Fiancee and I had lunch together yesterday after spending some time at the florist that my boss recommended (his wife has done a lot of work with them). We’re getting a good number of RSVPs back, so pretty soon I’ll have a final guest list to take to the caterers…

And my stand-up guys have forewarned me about the date of the bachelors party.
