Quickly! Activate the Cliché-o-matic!
Well, yesterday I was as sick as a dog. Or at least as sick as a specific dog that had a level of sickness that matched my own. Headache, sweating, chills and fever. The usual fun stuff. I feel mostly recovered today, but my boss is threatening to send me home.
I’m sorta ok with the idea too. My head feels overinflated, and background noises sound overly resonant. It’s sort of like being on an inflatable raft, floating on a swimming pool. Did you ever just lie there with one ear pressed to the raft and the other full of water? Everything has that sort of muffled echo.
