This was a good chunk of my weekend… Taking down a cracked tree limb and reducing it to fireplace friendly wedges for use at a friend’s housewarming party.
Odd side note, once we’d transported it over and stacked it on his porch, I was able to get a better idea of just how much wood was there. It looked like roughly 16-20 cubic feet. I looked up the density of maple in the excellent Pocket Ref and figured out that the whole load weighed somewhere around 700 pounds.
So yeah… My back is a bit sore…
