Got some of my first junk comments today. They’ve already been deleted, so don’t bother looking for them. It’s not like they were advertisements or porn spam or anything… More like the on-line equivalent of grafitti.
One of the risks of allowing a public forum for people to comment on the blather that I post here is that there are people out there who don’t seem to know how to behave in public. For them, a comment box in the equivalent of a bare concrete overpass and their keyboard is their can of spray paint.
If someone has a comment, I’ll read it. You’re reading my drivel after all, so it’s only fair that I give yours a chance…
I don’t delete things lightly. If you disagree with something I wrote and you want to start a debate in the comments, that’s fine. All I ask is that you stay civil, and that you please try to have your comment relate in some way to the entry that you’re commenting on. On the other hand, don’t come whining to me because I don’t want to read “D00D Y0U SUXX0RZ!!1!” posted a dozen times. If it gets to be a problem I’ll just turn comments off, but I hope this was just a one-time aberration.
