We Went to the Waterford Racetrack

And All I Got Was This Lousy Sunburn.

Well, no…. That’s not entirely true. I also shot a couple hundred photos that I’m gonna sort through soonish… I’ll post the best of ’em here.

It was a heck of a lot of fun. I really enjoy watching the races and listening to my future sister-in-law’s husband banter with the other drivers. It’s educational too, especially when they get talking about what parts do what when and how.

I’m mechanically illiterate when it comes to the actual workings of a car engine. I know the theory: expansion of gasses through combustion of gasoline causes pistons to move and so on. But when it comes down to the actual measuring of just how much can be shaved from a camshaft to increase speed while maintaining structural integrity… Well…

Anyway, I do know how a camera works, so my pictures are pretty good. There’s a lot of ’em though, so I’m not posting any tonight. Check back later.
