Wild wildlife…

All of us in the office have had close encounters with deer in the past two days. Mine was this morning. We were driving in along North Huron and a panic-stricken doe (or perhaps a young buck…) nearly jumped into the road in front of us. Fortunately, it saw us and decided to run away rather than charging across the road and onto the railroad tracks.

My boss encountered a trio of deer out on the west side of Ann Arbor last night. The three of them jumped out in the middle of a 45 MPH ‘S’ curve. One of them ran clear across the road, another panicked and ran back into the woods, but the third leapt into the street and froze in the middle of the lane… My boss was able to brake in time, and wasn’t rear-ended by the folks behind him, and the deer turned and ran…

WorkKevin had the strangest story… He was driving through North Campus when he spotted a deer standing at an intersection. It waited patiently at the side of the road and crossed in the crosswalk when the light changed…

Very odd…
