Who gave Canada permission to be so hot and humid? Honestly, when the Webcast left Florida I thought we’d seen the last of this sort of weather.
I’m with the Transweb webcast team, all comfy and cosy in our offices on the University of Western Ontario campus in London.
And it is hot.
And it is humid.
Most folks are off at the opening ceremonies, but they should be back in time for the barbecue dinner. I’m in our offices in the Community Center, trying to get other machines than mine onto the network. The optimal solution would be to plug them into the ethernet cables and they would magically work. We’re trying to contact the guy who was supposed to have the network set up for us on arrival to see why this isn’t the case. Meanwhile, I’ve got some less-than-optimal solutions that I’m going to need to try out so that we can get our opening ceremonies coverage up and on the web.
Anyway, I’m going to try to keep a running commentary on the games and events through here, but things may get hectic on short notice. On the other hand, if you want additional coverage from Canada, My Wife is here too, and she’ll likely have some notes on how things are progressing.
Oh yeah… And there’s the official Transweb site too. You know. Just in case.
