Comfort? And Joy?

So. I decided to see what I had in iTunes for holiday music. And I find that I’ve got a version of “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” as it would be done by The Residents.

It’s very, very creepy. Not at all comforting, not terribly joyful at all. I love it.

Alas, the fellow who did it has taken it down from his website, otherwise I’d link to it.

Pillbox

One of the underappreciated features of this particular style of cat bed is the way it converts to a WW-I era pillbox-style bunker when flipped over.

Hey! It’s a tree!

The goofy guy over at EyezMaze has done up a Christmas tree GROW! puzzle. It’s tiny compared to his other ones, but still a load of fun.

The Wife Guest Blog Part III: The Margarita-off

Santathulu

It’s a Very Lovecraftian Christmas, from Fafblog (the world’s only source of Fafblog!):

Phew!

Ok, so it looks like I may have some… Sensitivities.

I mean to certain aromatic chemicals.

So, let me tell you about insomnia.

I get insomnia sometimes. The biggest reason for it, so far as I can tell, is major changes in the weather. Last night we got a nice solid six to eight inches of snow, so I wound up getting a really lousy hour and a half to two hours of sleep.

The Tradeoff

The big boxed set of FinalCut Studio HD arrived today, and I’m installing it on the beastly huge desktop machine that’s substituting for my poor logic-board fried powerbook. And now I’ve got a dilemma. When the P’book gets back will I be able to deal with its shortcomings?
